K/1st Grades | April Thursday Afternoons
the NatureLab - Takoma Park
Let's get your Kindergartener / 1st grader OUT! (Outside Under Tents) and exploring the worlds of science, art, and nature while exercising their creativity, building critical thinking skills, and interacting with like-minded, curious friends.
April is GAMES month! Our Kindergarten and First Grade students will be studying the rules and joy of game playing. Each day we meet throughout the month, we will introduce a concept which will be reinforced through projects, play, and walking field trips. Our groups meet at *4:00-6:00* with one adult and one high school age helper (if needed).
PLEASE NOTE: Our groups will meet at 3:50 at TPES dismissal and then at Memorial Park (the triangle shaped park across from the TkPk library for non-TPES students to join up. We will then walk to and dismiss at 6:00pm from the Gazebo (corner of Carroll and Westmoreland Aves) on Thursday with one adult and one high school age helper (if needed).
There is a minimum of 4 attendees to run the program. Discounts for combined programs, siblings, and "teacher" families. Feel free to email us with any questions or requests at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing you outside... in a tent or a park or along the creek.
